Week end workshop at Corban Estate: "Understanding oil painting".

It was such a good week end. Melissa have this laid back attitude that is quite refreshing.
And she is also very talented with a trained eye and a great sense of composition.

A few quotes:
" Don't starve your brush" !
"Try to find the underlay colour of the object"

Still life painted on the saturday.
It was painted in a few hours "Alla Prima" and it could do with a bit more work.

On the sunday, I choose a new still life. But since I worked on tones the day before
I decided to change the colour of the fabric to work on colours...
I did not know how hard it is for the brain to process the colour colour from what it is
viewing and what it is painting ! That was a fun exercise !

Same as the painting from the day before... it could do with a bit more work...
but the week end workshop was over....
